Theme 2: Historic Diners*

Theme for uploads from October 15 – 28: Historic Diners

The next two weeks you may upload up to 10 photos you have taken of Historic Diners along Route 66. Please only one photo per tweet.

*Beside diners you may also post photos of ice cream parlors, cafés, grills, places you can eat and drink (just no food chains please).

Name the diner and location and tell us in which of the 8 Route 66 States you found the diner by tagging it with #Route66NAMEoftheState (for the photo below it would be: #Route66Illinois.

Also add the hashtags #Route66Smiling and #Route66Diner (we’re going to collect all these places you can eat or drink with this hashtag) and please share with @66Travelers and @TimeTraveler911 on Twitter.

You can also tag the location and name of the diner, and if there is a Twitter Account of that diner, you may also tag it. But that is not a must.

#Route66Smiling at Dell Rhea Chicken Basket ( or @chickenbasket1) #Route66Diner in Willowbrook
on #Route66Illinois with hosts @66Travelers and @TimeTravelers911

All correctly tagged photos – as shown above – will be added to the Twitter Moment: Historic Diners.

The winner photo of this second challenge will replace the header photos of the Twitter Moment and the most liked photos linked to the locations of the below Route 66 Map.

Winner photo of the previous challenge Historic Motels will be announced by October 20 and replace the header of the Twitter Moment Historic Motels and of course also shared on Twitter. The best photos will be linked to the locations of the above map.
